Youtube Link (“we”, “our”, “the Service”) is a web application at https://mekesh.work.gd:8001 that lets authorized users preview public TikTok videos, download selected clips, and upload them to a YouTube channel they connect via Google OAuth. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and your choices.
2. Information We Collect
- Account credentials: Username and password you use to sign in to the dashboard.
- Google / YouTube OAuth data: When you link a YouTube channel, we receive OAuth tokens granted by Google so we can upload videos on your behalf. We store these tokens in your server-side session.
- TikTok public data: Public profile and video metadata (titles, thumbnails, URLs) retrieved from TikTok accounts you search.
- Usage logs: Upload job status, activity logs, and error messages generated within the application.
- Technical data: Standard server logs (IP address, browser type, timestamps) for security and troubleshooting.
3. How We Use Information
We use collected information solely to:
- Authenticate you and provide access to the dashboard
- Fetch TikTok video previews you request
- Download and upload videos to the YouTube channel you authorize
- Display progress, logs, and job results in the application
- Maintain security and improve reliability of the Service
4. Google API Services & YouTube
Youtube Link uses YouTube Data API v3 and Google OAuth. By linking your YouTube account,
you authorize us to upload videos to your channel using the
https://www.googleapis.com/auth/youtube scope
(manage your YouTube account, including uploads and channel management).
We do not sell your Google user data.
Our use of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
5. Data Storage & Retention
OAuth tokens are stored in your server-side session and expire when you sign out, unlink your channel, or the session ends. Downloaded video files are stored temporarily on the server during processing and may be removed after upload completes. Job records may be retained in the application database for history and debugging.
6. Sharing of Information
We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information. Data is shared only with:
- Google / YouTube — to perform OAuth and video uploads you initiate
- TikTok (via yt-dlp) — to retrieve public video metadata and downloads you request
7. Your Choices
- Unlink your YouTube channel at any time from the dashboard sidebar
- Sign out to end your session
- Revoke app access from your Google Account permissions page
8. Security
We use HTTPS, authenticated dashboard access, and session-based credential storage. No method of transmission over the Internet is 100% secure; we strive to protect your data but cannot guarantee absolute security.
9. Children’s Privacy
The Service is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
10. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The “Last updated” date at the top will reflect the latest revision. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
